New Orleans will become the epicenter of helping advance economic equity for communities of color next week when the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) kicks off its 50th Anniversary Conference and Exchange.
The conference, scheduled for Oct. 30 to Nov. 2, is expected to draw thousands of attendees and hundreds of major corporate sponsors to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
KBS is excited to exhibit at the show (Booth #961) as it continues to expand access and opportunity for its growing network of vendor suppliers.
For more than 50 years, KBS has set itself apart by building a highly diverse workforce that provides economic opportunity and career advancement for all employees. For example, more than 50 percent of the company’s workforce are women, while ethnic minorities comprise more than 80 percent of field management.
Last year, KBS launched a Tier 2 Diversity Supplier Program as part of a comprehensive Environmental Social and Governance initiative. This year, it joined NMSDC, the nation’s leading minority business advocacy organization, as a corporate sponsor.
Attending the conference next week will enable KBS to identify new vendor partners from minority-owned businesses who provide services and supplies related to contract cleaning and janitorial services, floor care, exterior maintenance, specialty, and trade services, and more.
Given its status as the largest privately held facility services provider in North America, with more than 100,000 active locations nationwide, KBS represents a strong partnership opportunity for MBEs looking to quickly grow their business and provide career opportunities for their employees. Other advantages of becoming a KBS vendor partner include dedicated support teams, streamlined payments, and detailed performance tracking.
